Melbourne Victory Tournament 2015

The first match of the year.... We gathered a few players to compete in the U8's, hell we even snuck in a few U9's but we were just not up to the hand-picks squads of Point C(r)ook, Templesone(d) and Knoxxx. It was a great day and as usual Tony set the standard and the kids had FUN. It's what Aspendale SC is all about, enriching young lives with the spirit of competition and fair play.

All the parents had a great time watching the boys and I hope to see you all in the coming months.

Coaches' Corner: Stingrays combined U8/U9 squad competed in the Melbourne Victory junior tournament at Gosch's Paddock on Saturday 7th March. We played 3 games against opposition from all over Melbourne, it was 4 aside, 15 minute matches with all players getting a good run  and there was a high standard of play , we played really well as a team and managed to to score 2 goals, although we did not win any games in true Stingray spirit everybody had FUN.  For the some of the boys it was their first ever soccer match and they are all now looking forward to the season proper. There was a big Stingray turnout of players ,family and friends as we also had a squad in the U10 competition, everybody had a really good day with most kids and parents attending the Melbourne Victory v Perth Glory game at night at AAMI park.

GO STINGRAYS!
