U10 - Hampton JSC RED

What an improvement and even with two men down we managed a fine draw. It should have been a win if my flesh and blood didn't miss a complete sitters (wife said it's the milkman's kid). Considering we lost 4-1 to this same team just a few months ago shows how much they have improved, and today, everyone gave it their all. #respect

Congratulations to Mitchel on his "Most Valuable Player" great midfield play

Coaches' Corner :
Another good show by all the boys, we had a few good shots at goal that were saved by the Hampton keeper who was actually quite good - we should have scored another 2 or 3 but 1 goal was what we managed in the end. It is good to see improvement every week by all the boys .Luck was not on our side today. We just need a bit more accuracy in our goal shooting which we will practice when we next train. We now have a week off  and come back for the last few games of the season. Enjoy the holidays.

U10 - Aspendale Stingrays (Blue)

Time for the grudge match and boy did the blue's come out swinging. After taking a pasting in our last encounter they fought hard to pull off a draw. All the boys played hard and we once again had great goal-keeping at both ends. The coaches as always did a great job of both keeping the kids happy and managing to marshal the troops to a fine draw. I must apologise for the poor quality of pictures of late as I think my trust point and shoot is slowly fading....... (PS A good excuse for another) - Thanks again to all the volunteers and making match-days very enjoyable. It's also great seeing the boys trading after the game and now looking like a unit.

Congratulations to Martin on his "Most Valuable Player" award for rock solid defense and a special award to Harry for Game winning goal-keeping.

Coaches' Corner : It was a tough game which either team could have won we had chances ,they had chances, the boys really stuck to the job in hand and shut the Aspendale Blues down but they really  wanted the win but they got a draw. All the boys stood up and they all played really well with some playing their best game ever. With it being an inter club derby the crowd was noisy and passions were high among the spectators and coaches, the game had goals , great saves , injuries and controversial decisions- it had it all. The good thing was the way the boys held position, played some really good balls through to the attack and scored good goals and did not get pushed off the ball easily. Roll on next week.

The score ended up 2-2

U10 - Beaumaris Kings

What a morning; torrential rain follow by only our 2nd win of the year just as the sun poked its head out the clouds. What a way to end...... While the boys still expect the ball to come to them as if it were a computer game it ended up being a great team effort. A special mention to Harry and his superb goal-keeping skills that ensured victory. Looking forward to our next game.

Congratulations to Orlando on his "Most Valuable Player" award for fantastic amazing improvement

Coaches' Corner :
There were some good passages of play resulting in goals for us, some good goalkeeping saw us take the win which is a big boost for the boys, we just need to keep the momentum going and remember that to get the ball most of the time the player has to move to the ball otherwise the opposition usually win it.
