U11 - Peninsula Strikers JFC

It was good to see some goals this week and it would have been great to have seen some more. We could have won it easily but we lack fire-power in front. The defence was good and our goal keepers did a great job under heavy pressure.

Yoda - Do it or do not there is no try? (and if you do put in 100% peeps)

Many thanks to the Hansen Family who pitched in to help in the canteen - Thank you.

The outstanding achievement award went to Luiz for last weeks contribution both on the field and in Goal.

Coaches' Corner :
Good passing as we practiced in training, we were unlucky not to score more goals. If we can get going in the first half we will go ok in our remaining games for the season.Good effort all round today.

Scores ended up 0-4

U11 - Baxter SC

Good game against a strong and tough opposition. We had chances but did not convert them into goals. We really need to talk to our boys and tell them to go hard and put in 100%. Pulling in the effort equals reward both on the field and in life. Looking forward to the next game. Thanks again for all the effort in bringing fantastic halftime fruit. It's appreciated.

I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying. Michael Jordan

"Outstanding performance" award went to Charlie for his selfless attitude and digging in when required.,

Coaches' Corner :The running today was better than last week and we did have some goal chances that we could not put away. We need to work on clearing the ball from our goal when we are under pressure. The pitch was very long the goals very small the refereeing was verily but the serenity in the air saved the day.

The score ended up 0-4

U11 - Chelsea FC

Sadly I was not there that Saturday but it looks like we are continuing our improvement.

The outstanding achievement award went to Flynn for continuing to improve game after game. Awesome!

Coaches' Corner : 1st half we played well and held them off until just before half time when we lost a silly goal, Charlie went keeper after half time and then the midfield stopped running which led to 3 more goals for chelsea. We did have some chances at goal but could not put them away. We need to the midfield players to run back and help the defense and all players have to keep in position and not get dragged across the pitch. The defense is improving with some good stops. As we had 4 away we thanks to Charlie and Arun for helping with the defense and keeping , we also had 2 under 10 s assisting us.

U11 - Mount Eliza Blue

What a thrashing against a very polished side. Our referee was ex-NRL who had limited knowledge of the game which contributed to the Mount Eliza onslaught. Defence defence, man the boys need to sip a cup of cement to hard the $*&^ up. The Playstation generation (thanks Mr. Jelly for that one) was in full effect today. Run for all you're worth boys. There is only now. Great to see Mitchel dropping in and James taking time to come say hi. Awesome stuff.

Outstanding achievement award went to Thomas Jelly for his performance and continual improvement. Well done.

Coaches' Corner :
It was not an easy game and we did have a a couple of chances to goal but could not find the back of the net today, thanks to all the boys for giving their best efforts but we now move on to our next game versus Chelsea next week.. I think we go back to basics at training this week which will hopefully get us back on track.

The score ended up 0-9
