Peninsula Strikers Junior FC

RESULT – We won…….

Tony our Referee went all out today and boy o boy, did he not disappoint……I saw those Peninsula Striker mums giving him the eye.  Our opponents were fantastic and the comradery experienced was a refreshing change. It was great to get compliments on what a friendly and easy going team we were.

Thanks to all those parents who helped today in tough conditions. It’s appreciated as we all do this for our little monsters. (Angels)

Coaches Corner: Great opponents (and parents) and a game played in great spirits. It was an even game and we showed improvement with passing the ball wide to each other.  Lucas was the first goallie to keep the nil and Jackson showed the same grit in the goal as he does on the field (and used his hands!). It was good marking by the defense and great goals by Damiano and Charlie.  Go Stingrays!

The score ended up 2-1 to the Stingrays.
Scorers: Damiano, Charlie

  1. WOW, What a fabulous team Aspendale FC are. Firstly thank you to Karl for allowing me the opportunity to comment on this wonderful Blog . To the kids on both teams who played in the true spirit of the game and congratulations to Aspendale for a well deserved win.It was a great day with young Michael playing his usual defensive position as a brick wall and as he says if you can get past me you deserve a goal , well done to young Wilson who not only copped it once but twice in the head but continued to play with his usual enthusiasm. A big thank you to Aspendale parents who helped us out with a cold pack for our walking wounded and in true spirit when we were one player down you brought one of your players off the ground to even the teams up just fantastic to see all the families having a great time .The photos are a testament to what was a great day. We are all very hopeful to play against your wonderful team of very talented and fun loving kids again soon and wish you all the very best for the rest of the season.
    Kind Regards
